"Yes, Ms. Robert. We were all in the same middle school class. We hadn't really know very many other before that since we all went to Co-ed elementary schools but all of us went to the same all boys middle school and now we are in the same all boys high school," says the student that was sitting closest to the front of the room.
"Well, isn't that wonderful! That means that all of you can help this transfer student feel welcome. Now, why don't you come in, my dear?" asks Ms. Robert.
I quitely opened the door and walked through, being sure that I closed it completely before walking up to the teacher.
"Why don't you introduce yourself?" prompts Ms. Robert.
"Yes'm. My name is Taiichi Keniji. Please take care of me this year," I introduce.
"Keniji-kun transfered from a class in America. I wasn't filled in with any other details so you can ask him later. Keniji-kun, why don't you go to the desk in the back by the window?" Ms. Robert sighed.
"Alright. Before that," I turn away from her to face the class square, "all anyone needs to know about my past is that I don't like sharing the small details about it. So, before anyone asks, I was born in Japan, moved to America as a infant and moved back here for high school. My parents are still in AMerica and I'm living alone. I have a job to pay for my bills. The school already knows this and allows for my exception to the rule of having no job. If you want to know more then this, become one of my friends. Becoming my friend is difficult and almost everyone decides it's too much trouble and ends up ignoring me," I say and head to my seat.
"Okay then. Now that everyone is here and seated, let's start class," Ms. Robert exclaims.
I drift asleep after exactly three minutes of her lecture. I am rudely awoken soon after when the classroom door slams open.
"sorry... I'm...late..." gasps the boy that just ran in.
"Ah, so your Taiki Sakamoto. I was interested to know why you weren't here. I heard you rarely come to school on the first day so I just started class. Why don't you take your seat next to Keniji-kun. Keniji-kun, if you would kindly, stand up so that Sakamoto-kun knows where to sit," laughs Ms. Robert.
I stand up and gesture to the open seat next to me. I then ask, "Ms. Robert, why are you giggling up thee?"
"Well, thats because the boy who rarely shows came to school and the new kid is asleep. I don't know what to do with either of you!" she yips.
"Put up on the board any mathematical equation you see fit an d I will solve it. Put up a English phrase and I can correct it to be a complete sentence. I can speak fluent English anyway. TGive me any Scientific problem and I'll tell you a solution. Give me any lab and I'll complete it correctly. Give me any history date and I'll tell you what happens. Anything you wipe at me I'll already know. I was in an advanced corse in America and I Had started to take college level courses so I do believe I can answer any question you dish out to me. Instead of being a lazy bum who sits at home instead of coming to school, I'm going to come and tutor those that need it," I slap back at her.
"Let us test that math theory shall we? Since we are learning this today," she begins and writes out a complex equation on the black board, "do this problem correctly."
"No problem," I chuckle. I solve the problem without any difficulties and the other students are amazed at how easily I did so. "Now, can I get some more sleep. After flying here from America, for the last time this year, and unpacking everything in my new apartment yesterday, I'm exhausted. I didn't get any sleep whats so ever at home so I hope that you, a temporary teacher, can allow me to have my much needed rest," I reply.
